Celtic currently sit top of the Scottish Premiership with eight matches remaining and are three points clear of their Old Firm rivals Rangers.
Hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg has been a self-confessed Celtic fan since 2005, having fallen in love with the club after fan DJ Big Al gifted him a shirt. Ahead of a show in Glasgow in August, the 50-year-old has admitted that partying with the club after another league title would be “special fo Schizzle”.
Speaking to the Daily Record, Snoop said: “Glasgow is a crazy city and I don’t need an excuse to visit one of my favourite places in Europe – but to come over and party with the Champions of Scotland would be special fo Schizzle.
“So Bhoys, don’t let me down and Snoop is gonna see you in May.”
The Drop it Like it’s Hot artist is set to perform at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro in August as part of his 2022 UK arena tour. He hopes that he will be celebrating a Celtic title win during his performance as he added: “In Scotland, Celtic are my boys.
“This season they are back playing how we expect them to be and if they become Champions I will fly over to Glasgow to party with the players.
“The night in Glasgow will be on Snoop and you better believe if we are celebrating them being Champions, it’s gonna be a hell of a night.”
Having become a Celtic fan in 2005, Snoop later considered buying shares in the club in 2012 and wanted to bring in his friend David Beckham as part of the investment.
“I was serious about investing in Celtic,” admitted the California native, who also asked the club if he could be a mascot for their 2013 meeting with Juventus in the Champions League.
