EPL: Aguero names football star to win Best Young Player of the Season award

Former Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero has revealed his prediction on who will win the Premier League ‘Best Young Player of the Season’ award this season.

The prestigious award is a recognition for being a highly promising player in the league and Aguero hopes his former teammate, Phil Foden wins it.

The former Argentine international shared his opinion on Stake, saying: “Hopefully, Phil Foden gets it. For me, he’s a great player.

“With an incredible talent to carry the ball, provide assists and score goals. He’s one of my favourite players.

“I have seen him grow up and I think he’s entering a maturity that is unusual for someone his age.”

Foden has established himself as one of the mainstays on a phenomenal Man City team that has lifted the Premier League four times in the last five seasons.

The 22-year-old has already won the Premier League ‘Young Player of the Year’ award in the last two seasons.

Foden has scored 45 goals and registered 33 assists in 168 senior matches for Pep Guardiola’s side so far across all competitions.
